Brief Description on Grievance: Sir, We reside in the Kattakada taluk and Aryancode panchayat. A person named Sivakumar (Mobile: 9447388648) purchased a property near our residence as part of a real estate venture. He divided it into plots and haphazardly filled them with soil, disregarding the natural drainage ditch. This resulted in flooding our house. Despite our requests to retain the ditch and fill the area properly, he refused. We faced severe flooding on October 1st and 15th, and during heavy rains on November 18, our house was surrounded by water for six days. We lodged complaints with the President of Aryancode on January 10, 2023, followed by complaints to the Secretary on April 4, 2023, and the MLA on May 12, 2023. The grievances were also brought to the attention of Navakerala Sadass, and subsequently, the entire complaint was forwarded to the Panchayath. Their response advises reaching out to the PWD department for the construction of the drainage system. However, the process is anticipated to be time-consuming, and there are no immediate plans for the installation of a drainage system in the near future. The stagnant water issue poses a potential threat to various health concerns and may cause damage to our house and property. In light of this, we earnestly request the authorities to take prompt and appropriate action to address the persisting problems arising from improper land development. Your attention to this matter is highly appreciated, considering the health and well-being of our family.
